Unlike Giuliani, who positions himself as a centrist, it is Huckabee who is borrowing generously from the Dem playbook and lexicon, but in the process may be softening up evangelicals for a Democratic message in the fall. While they might not actually pull the lever for Obama or Edwards, Huck's evangelizing on poverty, inequity, and even immigration may be sufficient to raise doubts about the free market purity and brutality to the poor of all the other GOP'ers in the field. Will it keep some home on November 8th? Only if HRC isn't on the ballot for the Dems.
