So maybe HRC's messaging goons thought they had concocted a teflon formula for attacking Obama which didn't smack of racial sub-text. The campaign's re-write guys now have her acting like some world-weary Marsha Mason character just trying to put bread on the table and get through the day, who nudges a galfriend on the assembly line that their new co-worker acts like he's above it all. Plus, when he's not talking down to people, he's trying to get her fired.
So how is simply calling the black guy an elitist a coded message to already fearful white voters? After all, wouldn't even some black guys agree with that assessment? What with O's Ivy League pedigree and perfect teeth?
Uppity. The word white folk used to hang around the necks of black folk who got out of line. Elitist is the new uppity. Obama's too big for his britches. He should "Wait till '16", as some of the Clinton t-shirts read. Thinks he's better than us, looks down on church-goers and gun owners.
